Facebook Watch is giving its viewers less and less to watch, as the streaming hub pivots away from scripted original programming.
Sorry for Your Loss, starring Elizabeth Olsen, will not be returning for a third season, our sister site Deadline reports. Similarly, the Jessica Biel-led Limetown has been extracted after just one season.
Sorry for Your Loss stars Olsen as Leigh, a young woman whose life and relationships are upended after the unexpected death of her husband. Its sophomore finale aired Nov. 19 — and the show is reportedly being shopped around to other outlets.
Limetown, based on the fictional podcast of the same name, starred Biel as an American Public Radio journalist who attempts to find out what happened in the show’s titular town, where more than 300 people suddenly vanished from a neuroscience research community. It wrapped its 10-episode freshman season on Nov. 13.
TVLine’s Streaming Renewal Scorecard has thusly been updated.
I’m disappointed about Sorry for Your Loss. I love Elizabeth Olsen! Think she’s great in everything. However, I thought season 1 was much better than season 2. I’ll continue watching, though, if they find another home for the show.
I loved sorry for your loss thanks facebook just cancel it i watched the 2 series whterats going on ???
Instead of canceling Facebook TV shows can we cancel Facebook?
These shows were the only good thing that disgusting traitor Zuckerberg ever gave us. Sad to see them go.
Please go look up what traitor actually means.
It means Trump.
I’m confused by this…they had two shows and they canceled two shows. What???
Technically, Queen America (with CZJ) still exists.
There a few others. Human Discoveries, Five Points, Sacred Lies, The Birch, and some reality things – unless they’ve all gone as well
There were few other shows. I don’t know the status of them though – Human Discoveries, Five Points, The Birch and a few reality type shows.
I really enjoyed Limetown, so that’s a bummer.
.
But I had such a hard time figuring out how to actually watch their programming. It was not intuitive, cluttered with other crap, non-linear, and just lost amidst the sea of Facebook. Add a dang button in the menu for original programming and tv subscriptions.
100% agree with you. Their viewing interface was too clunky, and wasn’t a showcase for the creative talent.
Who even watches “Facebook Watch” anyway?
Affordability. The revenue is not working for the names attached to the projects. They are too big for the small platform. Sad.
A shame because these 2 shows would be thriving on Netflix or Amazon. :( Elizabeth Olsen is amazing on Sorry for Your Loss.
Loved Sorry For Your Loss; always thought it deserved more attention and promotion. Seems like a good fit for Netflix or Amazon honestly. Maybe even Disney+ considering Elizabeth Olsen’ involvement.
I just binge-watched Sorry For Your Loss a weekend ago. It was a great show that perfectly (IMO) captures the feelings of grief and denial you experience when you lose a loved one. So sad to see it be cancelled!
I hope Hulu can pick this up. If not, I guess I’ll have to wait for WandaVision for more Elizabeth Olsen.
Good! Im so glady facebook took them down becuz of reason there is no close caption subtitles on “sorry for loss” video show.. Lots of deaf people not happy with no close caption subtitles.. So once “sorry for loss is cancelled..
There is more show on Facebook.. They will take down..
I was able to get closed captioning on “sorry for your loss”.
I was also able to get closed captioning on Sorry for your Loss
I really liked Sorry for your Loss and I guess it’s sorry for our loss. There’s so much sh** tv out there that I found the great acting, writing, and plot of this show refreshing. Witty funny sad and heartfelt. Too good so they had to cancel it. Yep.
