Charlie (Caitlin FitzGerald), a young journalist, returns home to coastal Maine to tackle her most difficult assignment yet: to write the eulogy for her best childhood friend, Kat. The friends and community she has always known welcome her back with warmth and love which she begins to accept – until she discovers that her long-time rival, Kat’s girlfriend – has also been asked to participate in the celebration of life. Under the guise of working on her writing, Charlie isolates herself from everyone, and learns the cost of saying what should never be said.
