A certain community located around a great coconut grove in the area of the brazilian northeastern forest gets ready, a few days before, to celebrate the day of the patron of the place, Saint Maria Gorete. Barão is known as the only coconut farmer in the area, who organizes the whole party, and taking advantage of his economical power on the residents of the place. He is the one who dictate the rules and how the people have to behave. Socorro, a girl with poor mental health, phisically testifies how the Barão acts.
