Vale a pena ler. CONTÉM SPOILER :)
"1. What was the point of Tom suffering from tachycardia? To show that Francis didn't care about Tom's health? Or it has a deeper meaning since the title of the film is being presented with a heartbeat?
Guillaume (Played by Caleb Landry Jones) At the funeral, we see a blurred photo of Guillaume, and Dolan let us know through the priest that Guillaume wasn't very known at the town (this has a future purpose) Then, at the karaoki scene, Guillaume's face is not exposed. Then, a kid wants to assist at the funeral and Francis didn't let him. Tom and the audience only see the eyes of the kid (this also has a future purpose) Then, Francis shows a pic of his brother to Tom and we can't see Guillaume's face because he's kissing Sarah (?) When the bartender is telling the incident to Tom, Dolan wants us to think that the kid wanting to assist at the funeral, is the scarred kid Francis attacked since we only saw his eyes, but at the gas station, we clearly see it is Caleb Landry Jones who is scarred, proving the bartender was confused about the identity of Guillaume and the other kid. The one Francis attacked was Guillaume! So, nobody was dead.
2. Who was in the coffin?
3. Why Guillaume ran away from his home? Because he was afraid of Francis? Or Francis forced him to leave because he tought it was the best for Agatha to think that her son was dead instead of horribly scarred?
4. Why Tom accepted the abusive and controlling behavior of Francis to the point of threatening Sarah? When Tom wakes up and starts to look for Agatha and sees the grave of the father, he finally understands that it was Francis who killed the father, Guillaume (at the time we thought he was dead) and probably Agatha and decides to leave IMMEDIATELY!
5. What happened to Aagatha?
When Tom arrives at the gas station, he sees the scarred kid/Guillaume. HE NOTICES THE SCARS 6. Why he became so nervous and wanted to leave immediately? Because he thought it was the kid that danced with his boyfriend? Because he saw it was Guillaume but refused to go back with him because of the scars? Because he saw it was Guillaume but didn't forgive him because he lied about his death? Because he saw it was Guillaume but didn't forgive him because he was unfaithful?
7. What happened to the calf?
8. Why if everybody in the town were so afraid of Francis and knowing he was dangerous, the police never took legal actions against him?
At the end, that beautiful scene when Tom arrives at the farm makes sense... it was all foggy. The political message about the U.S. jacket is clear. No questions about it. "
