Some in the village claim she's an enchantress, one of they mythical seal people who's become trapped in human form. For Owen Quinn (Scott Glenn, The Right Stuff, Courage Under Fire) and the other fishermen in their wind-swept Irish coastal village, times are hard. Not only is there a fishing drought, but the solitary Quinn grows more remote to his friends and neighbors by the day. Widowed for five years and still mourning his late wife, Quinn sees only a grim future - until a beautiful and mysterious woman he calls Mairead (Saffron Burrows, Circle of Friends, Deep Blue Sea) arrives and something magical changes his life.
